Like Inside Out, Princess of the Midnight Ball was one of those books where I was expecting great things from an author who I know does awesome books – but unfortunately, I was disappointed. Princess of the Midnight Ball My second retelling was Jessica Day George's Princess of the Midnight Ball. I love a good retelling of a classic fairy tale, and Jessica Day George's Princess of the Midnight Ball is one of the best. I thought it might be a little too “girlie” for me, but I love Jessica's writing and decided to read it anyway. Princess of the Midnight Ball is a lovely fairy tale retelling of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" and the perfect escape from your everyday world. Series: None; prequel to Princess of Glass.
